For a native English (US) speaker, would Irish-Gaelic be an Easy Language to master in a short amount of time?

It's tough, I am an Irish-American trying to learn Irish all on my own with only a beginners computer program and videos from YouTube. I think it would be easier to learn in a group but their is no one, who wants to set anything up so I am on my own. The program I have is beginners Irish from EuroTalk, just in case your interested.
