Who here thinks slipknot is death metal?

I just read a person's answer to a question stating that Slipknot is death metal. Mind me but personally I believe that Slipknot is stupid wannabe metal and are better off being noted as rock. Slipknot has little to do with the subject of death, gore, decapitation and other death metal subjects. Slipknot doesn't even do those low cookie monster vocals. So MY QUESTION is, if you think Slipknit is death metal WHY would consider them that and what makes them so alike bands such as Cannibal Corpse and Disfiguring the Godess. And if you don't think Slipknot is death metal why are they what they are and why do you think some people consider them death metal?
