I live in India and will go to US for study in few months. Can I carry finasteride tabs with me?

Hi I live in India. I have been prescribed finasteride by doctor to stop hairloss. I am going to travel to US in a few months . I would not be able to afford consultation or medication in US as a lot of money is already going into college fees. So Please let me know if I can carry the tablets , a one year supply atleast. or is it not allowed? Can I get them parcelled from my acquaintances in India to US. Please help me guys I am nervous as my hair would fall if i stop using it . I am genetically prone to baldness.
