Where is the best place to wear a soccer captain arm band?

My friend and I are 15 and were just named the captains of our soccer team and we got these armbands from the coach. http://www.authenticsoccer.com/Products/Kwik-Goal-Captains-Arm-Band__19B4.aspx we cant figure out how to wear them... we have these jerseys where the inside of the arm is shorter than the outside (it goes higher on the inside) and it looks ridiculous to put them on the sleeve. Its the same thing as what it would look like to wear spandex shorts over sweatpants, where the thing underneath gets all bunched up in weird ways because the thing on top is so tight. Is there some special technique you are supposed to use or can we wear them on our legs??
