Where is a good place to go on a casual date in Minneapolis/Saint Paul, MN?

I'm a 22-year-old woman asking a guy to get a drink with me. I'm looking for a place that is fun and casual but definitely quiet enough to talk without struggling to hear the other person. The guy is a drummer and was an English major in college (as was I), so I'm also looking for a place with a little bit of personality that would appeal to him.
